Cherries and Clover is a 2011 film written, produced, and directed by Jack Vero, starring Spencer Jenkins, Taylor Marie Milton, Owen Macri, and Molly Cera.[1] It is about two childhood friends who were separated as kids but strike up a romance years later upon being reunited as teenagers.
It is notable as being the first feature film ever created exclusively by teenagers, having been written, funded, and shot by an adolescent cast and crew without professional aid. For this reason it has been called "a film made by teenagers, for teenagers."[2]

When Clover's (Spencer Jenkins) childhood friend, Cherries (Taylor Marie Milton), returns to his hometown after a ten year separation, he finds himself immediately attracted to her still outgoing, spontaneous personality. It isn't long before their rekindled friendship develops into a sweet, quirky romance. But as time passes and passions fade, the couple is forced to question whether all friends can be lovers...[3]
Cherries and Clover was envisioned in October 2006 by Jack Vero, then a seventeen year old high school student who would go on to write, produce, and direct the film. Having no prior experience in film, Vero spent the next twenty one months educating himself, assembling a volunteer teenage cast and crew, buying equipment, and otherwise preparing for what was sure to be a challenging production.
Principal photography commenced in early July 2008 and carried on throughout the summer and into October, most of it taking place on evenings and weekends since much of the crew worked or attended school during the week.
Cherries and Clover has not yet been released but has acquired some interest from fans and various news agencies. Several interviews are available online and a featurette about the film is available at FansOfFilm.com/video/a-movie-made-by-teenagers
The Soundtrack will be released in 2011.
